• A thumbnail is provided first, so the reader may avoid downloading the full-size image in case he finds it uninteresting.

• Occasionally, an essay or column by another writer is presented, with permission. Suggestions, or submissions, are welcome.
• Presentation of a Guest Column is not necessarily a wholesale endorsement of the facts or opinions expressed therein.

• The Archives are intended to represent, as far as possible, each issue in precisely the same way it was originally published.
• Each issue is archived at the same time it is published: this allows the reader to bookmark a specific issue at publication, rather than bookmarking the current (latest) issue only.
• The World Wide Web is constantly changing, and links are often ephemeral: a webpage, or even a website, may disappear entirely, or be moved to another domain or URL. Thus, links working at publication may eventually suffer from linkrot, but there is no plan to attempt to update links in archived issues.
