I took these photos at the Highland Games at Ligonier, Pennsylvania, September 7, 2002, which are held annually at the site of Idlewild amusement park.

The pipe & drum bands engaged in individual competitions throughout the afternoon. Here are some bands rehearsing, under the trees and among the brick-a-brack of an amusement park, and one performing.
