I took these photos at the Highland Games at Ligonier, Pennsylvania, September 7, 2002, which are held annually at the site of Idlewild amusement park.

All the Pipe Bands massed on the Main Field at noon, marching in and out in three groups; I figured there were roughly 400 musicians — pipers and drummers — altogether.
