G. W. Bush, Air Force One, September 11, 2001

As mentioned in This View’s Column, this photo (President Bush aboard Air Force One, talking on the phone with Vice-President Cheney) inexplicably caused quite a one-day fuss, May 14, 2002, when Democrat operatives tried to whip up a hue and cry because Republican operatives are using this photo of Bush aboard Air Force One for fund raising. The photo is sometimes seen in the reverse orientation, with Bush facing to the left, but this is the correct orientation.
